Reversible ropeways or
jigbacks operate with one or two carriers – comprising a cabin, hanger and
carriage – traveling to and fro between two terminals. The carriage runs on one
or two track ropes, with a haul rope used to supply the traction. The cabins
can carry between 20 and 200 persons, depending on system requirements.
CWA cabins and hangers for
reversible systems in customized designs for up to 200 passengers are in
operation on ropeways worldwide.
CWA has demonstrated its capacity for innovative ropeway carrier
engineering with the world-famous ROTAIR revolving cabin.
