Reversible ropeways or jigbacks operate with one or two carriers – comprising a cabin, hanger and carriage – traveling to and fro between two terminals. The carriage runs on one or two track ropes, with a haul rope used to supply the traction. The cabins can carry between 20 and 200 persons, depending on system requirements.
